Why can't you order from our made-to-order range?

We received some devastating news recently.
Our Nottingham factory was an independent business here in England that worked with us, manufacturing our gorgeous garments. Unfortunately they, like many, have been struggling to recover since Covid.
We have been informed that they’ve been made bankrupt and have permanently closed their doors. This has left us without a factory and therefore unable to accept orders.

It may seem easy to simply find another factory but that is sadly not the case. There are very few British manufacturers left and our garments are unique and require five different specialist machines to complete them. So far we have been unsuccessful finding an alternative.
We have considered looking into renting premises and buying in machines but even if we were successful in sourcing them, we face the problem of not being able to find skilled machinists to work them; there are very few trained factory level machinists in the country. Plus, all of this would take weeks if not months to set up and we do not have much time!

At this stage we are not sure what will happen. The clock is
ticking and we have no cashflow so we are considering all options.
We do not want to have our garments made abroad like most companies, as we pride ourselves on the personal touch and love having everything made here in England, where we can keep a close eye on quality plus offer custom and rush options.
We really need to either find another factory fast or sell
the company altogether and start a new venture.

At the moment we have made the website so you are only able to view and purchase the items we have here in stock. As you can see by looking, this is quickly becoming somewhat depleted, we apologise for the lack of choice but value your continued support more than ever right now.
We have been running now for 17 years and many of you have become more like friends which is why we felt we wanted to keep you in the loop.
As soon as we have more news we will send out another email, in the meantime please send us your positive thoughts and we would also be grateful for any ideas and suggestions you may have for a solution!

Hi! I just wanted to express my concern for your announcement; I hope that you are okay and I really hope that you are finding a way forwards. I wish I had something more useful to suggest, but the only idea I had was to run a crowdfunder where people pay for a bellystocking in advance and that money enables you to set up your own factory unit (or set up a new contract with someone else)? I like to think that the community would get behind you because you provide such a great product and are independent❤
Anyway, just sending my very best wishes and of course here to help if there’s anything I can do!
